It seems that Steve Jobs has made his determination to push Apple Iphone into China mainland.
Early these year we had the news: apple failed to come up with China mobile in subscribe revenue sharing deal.
China Mobile had called off talks to launch the US group's popular iPhone handset to Chinese consumers. Though no explanation was given in China Mobile's statement, there is speculation that the two firms failed to agree on a revenue sharing deal. In addition to difficulty in gaining agreement over a revenue sharing deal, they have pointed to technical and content issues.
However, there are rumours that apple have intentions to walk with China unicom to bring back the negotiate talk. China Unicom, the country's only other mobile network, takes about one third of China mobile phone market shares.
Mobile phone analysts have long said Apple would struggle to introduce the iPhone in China.
But at 3G iPhone release conference, Steve Jobs implied us Iphone will successuly land on China by the end of this year
Is that means apple's negotiation with China network carrier get significant progress?
Who is apple's parter? China Mobile, China Unicom or China Telecom. At least by now, there is no a answer for sure.
China is the apple's biggest accessories production base, the first custom iphone case is from China even before iphnoe released. What's worse, recently iphone clones are threaten the potential share of iphone. Unlike simply copying iphone's form factor, later China manufacturer able to clone almost the same functions of iphone than throw them to the customers with much lower price. One of these clones is called Hiphone, only one letter different from iphone. Maybe it is also one of the reason that apple are desperate to push iphone to China - the huge demand of middle class consumers.
